Dr. Dan Ben-Canaan is a Professor of Research and Writing Methodology at Heilongjiang University, School of Western Studies in Harbin, China. He is the founder and director of Heilongjiang University’s Sino-Israel Research and Study Center, and Visiting Professor for Postgraduate studies at Northeast Agricultural University in Harbin, China. He is a Hon. Research Fellow at the Heilongjiang Academy of Social Sciences, and the Editor-in-Chief of the Heilongjiang Television China English News.

Prof. Dan Ben-Canaan is the director of the cooperation and exchange program between Heidelberg University in Germany and Heilongjiang University, School of Western Studies in Harbin, as well as coordinator of the joint program Cluster of Excellence research program “Transcultural Processes in a Globalized City – Research on the History of Harbin”.

Dan Ben-Canaan (known as Lin-Yidan in China) is a contributing columnist at the Op-Ed pages of the Chinese ‘Global Times’.
